We have owned for 25 years at the Kona Coast. We've paid our maintenance fees on time every year. We moved 3 years ago. After sending them a letter and copy of a utility bill that they requested as proof of address, they still didn't have the correct address on file....

I talked to shell travel coordinator 3 weeks ago and deposited 2 weeks (my wash. timeshare)into their weeks for deposit(WFD) program. This is 4th successive year...he went thru points etc. and we discussed that they went into current use year and when they would expire.....he checked with 3rd party and ..then agreed that ..if not used by 4/30/15..that they rolled into next use year.Subsequent telecon this week with agent and 2 Supers..that the agent did not agree on the one year rollover...per taped call!!One super said the process recently changed/other super said always been this way...despite the fact that I have rolled the points into sub year twice.....wife and I were on speaker phone but must have misunderstood or mis heard something....WOW!!!
Shell Vacations Club in Chicago, Illinois - Former Sales Leader with SVC
Began working for SVC (Shell Vacation Club) in downtown Chicago at one of their hotels. Great money to be earned for the right motivated person with a talent for shading the facts. READ THE FINE PRINT OF YOUR CONTRACT BEFORE SIGNING!!! Made good money (Average $1,500-$3k per week), had impressive closing percentages and went on the road to several cities throughout the U.S. I am a very ethical and honest person and salesperson (rarity in that business). Major problem was that the majority of people in that "time share/vacation sales" business are as slimy and fake as they get!
I explained my life event, the full situation was clearly expressed when first contacting SVC / Equiant. With every reason to prepare when only a few months from having a new born baby and I've recently been laid-off work; I had contacted Equiant Services to request...
Shell Vacations Club - Ownership transferred - 7 months later, no communication
In March of 2013, my friend's timeshare with Shell at Carriage Hills was officially transferred to me. I received the official transfer documents so I own it but have yet to receive anything from Shell or II with my membership numbers and contact info. I called Carriage Hills twice in June and was told information would be coming out soon. Nothing arrived over the summer. Last week (mid Oct.) I called again and was given the email of someone in member services to contact. No response to the email. Friday I received the membership bill for the upcoming year so obviously they have recognized the transfer of ownership but have made no effort to give me the necessary membership cards with their contact information. How do I fix this?
Shell Vacations Club in Phoenix, Arizona - Shell Time Share - What a Boat Anchor!
I've owned time share for 20 years but the the last 5 years with Shell has been nothing but disappointment. We have not been able to use our points for the last 4 years due to the elimination of Interval International & RCI. After having to forfeit 2 years worth of points due to lack of availabilty, we decided to use the money we paid for annual maintenance fees on a real vacation. Shell sent our account to collections and issued a notice of cancellation after 2 years of not being able to collect. Run from Shell! Dont buy time share! We cannot get rid of this boat anchor as there is no resell market, and it doesn't make sense to keep sinking $1200 per year into maintenance fees when you can't use it. Shell has offered us a settlement option. We can pay them $500 to resolve our delinquent account, but we give up the right to any future use of the time share we paid ~$12k for. What a deal! Pay someone $500 to take what you own. To top it off, they will have Meridian their collection agency reflect the account was settled for less than full balance.
Shell Vacations Club in Napa, California - Impossible to cancel
We got duped by four sales guys into signing up. I went home and saw all of the negative reviews posted, so I tried to cancel. When I called they told me I had to leave a message, which I did. Another four days go by and I never heard anything so I call again, and was forced to leave another message. This message was responded to with a message saying that they didn't get my first voicemail and the second voicemail was left on day 8 after signing, therefore I am not allowed to cancel. I have phone records to prove I called, but stupidly I didn't think to send something in writing. So, we are biting the bullet, and trying to pay it off so atleast we are not screwed with high interest. I was told to fax my credit card info into Las Vegas, and I have, twice now. I can't get anyone to confirm receipt, and I'm just being bounced from voicemail to voicemail. This company is terrible. I regret so badly being duped and ever going in there to begin with. I so wish I had the forethought to send something in writing. A reminder from the sales team would have been nice before they transferred me. Stay away from this company, it is such a waste of time and money
Shell Vacations Club in Napa, California - Shell Vacations-total fraud.....dont ever buy, you get nothing
My husband I were totally sucked in. We were promised free vacations to Italy etc. The salesman stated "would you rather share with your children that you have a nice home or that you have travelled the world. We paid a total of 10, 754 dollars with 575 dollars annual fees. The salesman stated that he would make an exception and let us buy fewer points(less money) but went on to share all the "perks" as if we had bought the larger points package. Turns out we can only go someone everyother year. We pay almost 600 dollars a year, so if you think about it, the place we stay for a week every two years would cost about 1200 dollars...actually less these days with so many travel deals. There is no way out. We are struggling to pay and has become "the worst mistake of our lives" as my husband put it the other day.So far any time we have tried to get rid of it, they have all been scams. If you are smart..no matter what do not purshase. I think if you are very weathly and you purshase the maximum of points(for like 50 grand) then you might break even, but you are better off buying a a rental house.(well maybe not, but you know what I mean)
Just in case you were toying with the idea of spending your hard-earned money on what may appear to be a "life time of vacations!" then continue reading. What you will get is a frustratingly complicated set of RULES that makes booking a vacation overly difficult! The...
On June 18 &19 SVC had a computer problem with its online site. After asking for your credit card number to pay the transaction fee you would get an error saying the site was unavailable, try later. I tried this two time on the 18th and two times on the 19th...
